Facelift Grant Scheme
There are currently still funds available up to the end of March 2012 for Stockport Council’s Facelift Grant Scheme.
The Facelift Grant Scheme is an initiative that has been developed by the Council in an attempt to positively improve properties and business premises, which in turn improves the surrounding area as a whole.
The Scheme is currently available in the Town Centre and District Centres and aims to bring about substantial improvement in the physical appearance and condition of commercial units.
There are five important factors that will be taken into account when applications are being considered. These are The Right Offer, Viability, Appearance, Value For Money and State Aid Rules.
The Grant is available to both existing and prospective businesses wishing to carry out work on their shop units although it must be noted that certain conditions apply.
